I mainly study death and burial in the early Christian period in Scotland, but have co-authored museum redisplay consultation reports for two early medieval monastic sites in Scotland for Historic Scotland. I have begun to develop this research into peer-reviewed publications. My main research interests around sculpture include the conversion to Christianity, sculpture as memory and commemoration, and the materiality of stone in the early medieval period.
